Our day in Westminster

1 min read

Our day in Westminster, showcasing our work to MP’s - having those important conversations about getting Eel on the curriculum in schools, and the deadly issues Eel face at Gold Corner pumping station.

Sarah Dyke and Tessa Munt, active MP’s in Somerset were given full sets of our educational resources as part of our launch - these packs are now available on our website.

It was an incredible experience for SERP to take its Somerset story to the beating heart of Westminster - we had a wonderful time sharing information about eels and the work of SERP in Somerset.

Thank you to Sarah Dyke MP - the Lib Dem spokes person for Rural Affairs, for sponsoring our project - that allowed us to showcase our work in parliament. Thank you to all the MP’s that came along and took interest in our work, including Vicky Slade MP, Alison Bennett MP and Karry McCarthy MP.
