The Eel Ambassador Programme
The Eel Ambassador programme celebrates individuals and organisations who go above and beyond in supporting the Somerset Eel Recovery Project. These ambassadors play a vital role in protecting the European eel by contributing their time, expertise, and financial resources. Their commitment enables us to carry out essential conservation work, from habitat restoration to public education and research. Without their generous backing, our efforts to reverse eel decline in Somerset’s rivers would not be possible. The programme not only honours their dedication but also helps raise awareness, inspiring others to engage with the cause and safeguard the future of this vulnerable native species.
